Electric Chain Hoists for Stage & Entertainment

We know that every detail matters. That is why we put our hoists through rigorous testing, checking their safety, reliability and performance under conditions they may encounter in real-world operation.

Stage mechanics are the skeleton, muscles and tendons of a stage

At LevelUp, we know this anatomy inside out. We design and manufacture our Electric Chain Hoists ourselves, test them ourselves, service them ourselves — and continuously improve them based on real-world experience.

D8Plus and C1 — Configured for the Application

The requirements for stage lifting equipment depend on where and how it will be used.

The LevelUp range includes D8Plus Electric Chain Hoists. Depending on the requirements of the project, the hoists can also be equipped with additional components for use as part of C1 systems.

This is why we configure LevelUp hoists and control systems according to the specific application and operating requirements.

Key Features

Depending on the model and configuration, LevelUp Electric Chain Hoists can be equipped with:

  • D8Plus configuration
  • Two electromagnetic brakes
  • Motor winding protection with brake interlock
  • Black load chain in the required length
  • Choice of suspension: hook or suspension eye
  • Additional equipment for use as part of C1 systems
  • Lightweight and Quiet

When it comes to real-world work, accurate specifications matter — especially the actual weight of the hoist.

We specify the weight without the load chain, but including all electronics and suspension components. During installation, an Electric Chain Hoist often has to be lifted into position and secured manually. A difference of just a few kilograms translates directly into additional physical effort for the installer.

That is why low weight is not simply a figure in a data sheet. It makes a real difference on site.

Compact and Practical

LevelUp Electric Chain Hoists are genuinely compact without compromising strength or reliability.

A compact housing is not a marketing feature — it provides a real advantage in day-to-day work, where space is often limited and every centimetre matters.

Our Electric Chain Hoists are designed to achieve the right balance of strength, reliability, manageable weight and compact dimensions.

Where LevelUp Electric Chain Hoists Are Used

LevelUp Electric Chain Hoists are designed for professional stage lifting applications at concert venues, theatres, live events and permanent entertainment installations.

Depending on the model, configuration and project requirements, they can be used for lifting and suspending stage and lighting trusses, scenery, lighting equipment, loudspeaker systems, video and LED screens and other stage equipment.

LevelUp hoists are used by rental companies, installation contractors, theatres and permanent concert venues.

What Happens If a Glove Gets Caught in the Chain?

Scenery, confetti, gloves — almost anything can accidentally get caught in the load chain mechanism.

We can’t guarantee that foreign objects will survive the encounter. What we can guarantee is that the hoist components will remain fully operational and the suspension will remain secure.

Keep your hands clear of the moving chain. We’ll take care of the rest.

What If the Chain Gets Twisted or Knotted?

A tangled or twisted load chain is a common issue during rigging and installation. Inattention, improper handling or simply operator fatigue can result in a twisted or tangled chain being fed into the Electric Chain Hoist. With some hoists, this can lead to serious damage — or, at the very least, an unscheduled repair.

Not with LevelUP Electric Chain Hoists!

We put them to the test: we fed twisted chain into the hoist and even tied the chain in a knot.

The result? The chain either straightens itself out or, if it cannot pass through, the overload clutch stops it before it enters the chain drive mechanism.

The only evidence left behind may be a few minor marks on the nylon chain guide.

The hoist remains protected and ready for operation.
